Every year my daughter – paparali.com – tries to persuade me to take part in the 100 Day Project and every year I find a really excellent excuse not to. It’s not that I don’t want to take part, it sounds like fun, but I’m not the kind of person who invents routines and sticks with them for protracted periods. In other words I was fairly certain I wouldn’t stick it out to the end.
This year I’m accepting the challenge for exactly the same reason. I know that sounds a little warped, but the real challenge for me will be to find the time to carry out a simple creative task every day for 100 days. The tasks themselves will be less important than putting the effort into training myself to find that small slice of time each day to do something for the sake of it.
I intend to record my efforts in a series of posts, not just to show what I produced, but also to keep track of the additional effort I needed to put in to meet the demands of the challenge over 100 days. It would be great if you dropped in every now and again to cheer me on.
Are you taking #the100daychallenge? I’d love to hear all about your efforts.
