KINDA CAMO
I made a decision at one point during one of the gulf wars to stop wearing camouflage trousers and jackets because there was a proliferation of clothes using pseudo-military colours and design and I couldn’t help thinking it was a subtle ploy to acclimatise us to a state of war. In hindsight that may have been just me overthinking the situation and it’s possible I was giving someone too much credit.
Much later I felt it would be interesting to design a camo-loke pattern that would incorporate colours that would never actually be used for military purposes. This was my simple way of reintroducing a camo style that I always liked without feeling I was promoting any form of aggression.
